Fedora is a community-maintained Linux-based operating system. The Fedora Project is supported by Red Hat; another Linux company; which owns Fedora; because of this, Red Hat Enterprise Linux branches off of Fedora. Released in 2003, it was initially codenamed Yarrow. There are 12 distributions branching off of Fedora, mainly taking shape as localized (translated) versions of Linux.
Fedora strives to be the best open-source Linux OS. That’s why NASA, Wikipedia, Roadrunner, and even Linux creator himself, Linus Torvalds, use Fedora on their systems. Their mission statement is centered around providing excellent software free of charge, for anyone to use and distribute by any means they please. This attitude contributed in most part to successes with D-Bus, SELinux, FreeIPA, PulseAudio, and many other software developments.
One great reason to use Fedora is because it offers the latest, most innovative free software out there. Maintaining a Fedora dedicated server is easy with minimal Linux knowledge. Our techs are standing by to help you with any issues related to your Fedora dedicated box . That’s just another great reason to pick Fedora as your operating system. The only thing to consider is that as it is often being updated your fedora dedicated server will require updating more often.
